This is a simple asset for a 3D dungeon based game. The main purpose of this idea is to practice the lighting features in Unity 3D as well as improving my skills at general rendering. After trying to mess around with the settings in Unity I have to say the final outcome looks pretty nice.
Concept For Simcity
Since the early days of Simcity I have always been fascinated by the look and feel of the whole saga. Ever since Simcity 4 came out I have become fond of modeling buildings and constructions both for games and for CGI animation. This model was made with Cinema 4D and 3DS Max which is always my first choice when it comes about modeling assets for 3D games.
Living Room
When I came up with the idea for this project, the wonderful Pixar style was basically what I had in mind. Since the release of Ratatouille I understood that when it comes about rendering and lighting in animation movies, Pixar is still the best. Clearly, what I tried to do here was to try and get as near as possible to the look and feel of the Pixar's real deal by using 3DS Max, Cinema 4D for modeling, texturing, lighting and Mental Ray for rendering.
Blue Horizon
The whole idea behind this project was manifold, I actually cannot even begin to remember neither where it started nor how it became what it is today. At the very beginning it was meant to be a short movie about a clown fish who wanted to escape the fish tank where he was imprisoned in order to embrace the aquatic life in the ocean that was ahead of him. The story never actually became a thing, but I have always had a feeling one day I would still want to turn it into a game or something.
Cornfield is about an adventure game which was never released because at the time I did not have the knowledge required to program games for windows. However, I still managed to create the look and feel for the main concept.
